(0) Business customers only - buyers must be legal entities
Reservations and sales are available exclusively to registered legal entities. A buyer must be a company, institute, university, laboratory or other organisation entered in an official register of business entities, acting in the course of its business, trade, craft or profession.
At the time of reservation the buyer must supply its registered company name, its tax identification number (PIB or the equivalent VAT or tax number in its jurisdiction) and its company registration number (MBR or the equivalent registration number). These details are mandatory, are recorded with the reservation, and appear on the invoice.
By completing a reservation, the person submitting the form warrants that they are duly authorised to act for the named legal entity and that the entity is ordering for business or research purposes and not as a consumer.
Consumers cannot order. Natural persons acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession are not eligible. Consumer protection rules, including statutory rights of withdrawal for distance selling, do not apply to a business-to-business sale of this kind. Where a reservation is found to have been placed by a consumer, or where the company details given are false or cannot be verified in the relevant business register, the reservation is cancelled and the amount paid is refunded in full.
The reason for this restriction is stated plainly: the device is an uncertified research prototype, and it is supplied only to organisations able to handle uncertified hardware under their own technical supervision.
